Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege of reading a couple of fine poems for the Grieve Writing Competition Live Read. The competition is held as a part of Grief Awareness Month (August) and is in its third year.
The top 20 poems and stories are read on the day and the awards for all place getters are announced. There is also a ‘people’s choice’ award and the winner is the piece with the most audience votes on the day.
More about the project can be found at: http://www.hunterwriterscentre.org/grieve-project.html
The book is available at: http://www.hunterwriterscentre.org/shop.html
Thank you to Jean Kent and Morgan Hardy Bell for the photographs!
